Deer Head Wall Sculpture Hook

This is the lodge-wall deer head reworked as a piece of graphic sculpture. The head is pared back to a smooth, faceted form with no attempt at realism, and the antlers sweep up and outward in clean branching lines. It is cast in polyresin and finished in a solid flat colour, so what you get is silhouette and shadow rather than fur and glass eyes, which makes it far easier to live with in a modern room.

The antler branches are more than decoration. They are shaped and spaced to work as hooks, strong enough for a coat, a hat, a scarf, a dog lead or a set of bags, which makes this a good answer to a narrow hallway with nowhere to hang anything. Four finishes are available: gold for warmth against a dark wall, white for a light minimal scheme, black for graphic contrast, and yellow if you want the piece to be the accent in the room.

A keyhole slot is moulded into the back so it hangs flush from a single screw or wall plug. Check for concealed pipes and cables before drilling and choose a fixing rated for the load if you intend to hang heavy coats from it. Dust with a dry cloth. Mount it out of reach of small children, as the antler tips are pointed.
