Disc Glass LED Wall Sconce 14cm

A single glass disc, fourteen centimetres across and eight deep, held slightly proud of the wall on a metal mount. It is a small fitting that does a lot of work: mounted in pairs either side of a bed, in a row along a hallway, or singly beside a mirror, it gives soft even light at eye level without the glare of a downlight or the bulk of a shaded sconce.

The glass is what varies. White is the quietest, giving a clean diffuse glow that suits a bedroom or a landing. Smoke grey darkens the disc when it is off, so it reads as a deliberate object on a pale wall, and softens the light when it is on. Amber is the warmest, and in a hallway with timber or brick it gives the kind of low golden light that makes a corridor feel finished.

The LED is integrated and rated up to nine watts, with three switchable colour temperatures from three thousand to six thousand kelvin, so the same fitting can be warm in a bedroom and neutral in a hallway. It runs on 220 volt mains and is wall-mounted and hardwired. It is rated for dry indoor locations only, so it is not suitable for bathroom zones or outdoor use.
