Dravo Black Aluminium Cube Outdoor Pillar Light

The Dravo caps a gate pier, a low garden wall or a pedestal with a solid cube in black aluminium. A recessed window on each of the four faces is lined with fine horizontal louvres, so light leaves in even bands instead of one flat glare, and the wide overhanging top throws rain clear of the apertures. At 25cm square and 27cm tall it marks an entrance without the bulk of a full lamp post.

An integrated SMD LED sits behind the louvres and gives a fixed warm light, so there is no bulb to source and nothing to replace. The body is metal throughout in a matt black finish that holds its colour outdoors and keeps reflections low after dark. An IP65 rating covers driving rain and dust. This is the mains wired version, running on 110V to 240V.

It suits an exposed driveway pier as readily as a sheltered courtyard, and pairs well across matching gate posts either side of an entrance. A supply needs to be brought up through the pier or the wall to the base of the fitting, so plan the cable route before the pier is finished. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician working to outdoor wiring practice. Rinse salt and grit off the louvres from time to time in coastal positions.
