Enamel Dome Wall Light 22cm

An industrial wall light with a white dome shade 22cm across, carried on a 17cm arm from a 10cm round backplate. The shade pivots through 180 degrees, so the same fitting can wash a wall, light a worktop or point down onto a book, and it holds whatever angle it is set to. Two versions are offered: a gunmetal black body with a white shade, or a polished brass body with the same white shade.

The body and shade are iron with brass fittings at the joints, which is the right specification for a light that will be handled: the arm takes repeated adjustment without loosening, and the enamel inner surface of the dome reflects more light down than a painted interior would. A white shade against a dark body is also the most useful combination in practice, because it gives a bright pool without a hot spot.

It takes an E27 lamp, the standard large screw base, and accepts 90 to 260V so it runs on UK mains. Coverage is around five to ten square metres, making it a genuine working light rather than a decorative accent. A one-year warranty is offered. No lamp is supplied, and an LED is the sensible choice since the shade sits close to the lamp. It is hardwired and must be installed on a lighting circuit.
