Faro Ribbed Milk Glass Wall Light

The Faro mounts a ribbed white glass lantern flat to the wall, capped top and bottom with ornate aged copper fittings finished with small ball finials. With no arm or bracket in sight the glass appears to float against the plaster, which keeps the look clean even though the detailing is unmistakably vintage.

The lantern is moulded white glass and the fittings are metal in an aged copper finish. It measures 13.3 cm in diameter and 28.6 cm high, weighs 3 kg and takes an E12 lamp, which is not included. When lit, the moulded ribs in the glass catch the light and break it into soft vertical bands rather than one flat glow, so the fitting has some depth to it even at low output.

The flush profile makes it a practical choice for narrow hallways, landings and stairwells where an arm-mounted sconce would jut into the walkway, and it works equally well beside a bed or either side of a bathroom mirror. Hang a pair at matching heights for symmetry, or run three along a stairwell wall. Wiring should be carried out by a qualified electrician, who can confirm that the siting suits a bathroom. The glass wipes clean with a soft dry cloth.
