Little Figure Table Lamp

A small standing character carrying the light above its head, about 29cm tall on a 12.5 by 10cm base. It reads as an ornament in daylight and a night light after dark, which is a useful pair of jobs for a shelf in a child's bedroom where floor space is short and everything has to earn its keep.

The scale is deliberately modest. At 29cm it fits on a bedside table beside a beaker of water and a stack of books without dominating them, and the light it throws is a soft pool rather than a wide wash, which suits the last twenty minutes of a bedtime routine better than an overhead fitting does. Leave it on low all night or switch it off once everyone has settled.

Four colours are offered: red, blue, white and yellow. White keeps things calm in a nursery, while the brighter three give a room a focal point. It runs from the mains at low voltage. This is a lamp, not a toy: place it out of reach of babies and toddlers, keep the flex tucked away from cots and beds, and supervise young children around it.
