Finno Gooseneck Sensor Outdoor Wall Light

The Finno is a motion-activated outdoor wall light with a curved gooseneck arm and a shallow disc shade. The shade tips downwards and the LED sits behind a white diffuser on its underside, so light is thrown onto the ground and the wall below rather than out into the garden. That keeps the beam where it is useful and stops the fitting glaring back at anyone approaching the house.

A motion detector is built into the round wall plate and covers a 90 degree arc in front of the light, with a maximum range of six to ten metres. Once movement is picked up the LED comes on, and the run time is adjustable from five seconds up to eight minutes, so it can be set to a quick flash for a bin run or a longer burn while a car is unloaded. The arm and shade are aluminium in a dark grey finish with a polycarbonate diffuser.

The integrated 8.6 W LED gives 780 lumens of 3000 K warm white light, enough to make a threshold legible without lighting the whole plot. It is a practical fitting for a doorway, a side passage, a driveway or a set of back steps where glare would otherwise be a nuisance. Aim the detector away from a road or a neighbouring path to avoid needless triggering, and set the shortest run time that still covers the walk to the door.
