Flower Form Accent Rug 100cm

A rug cut to the outline of a flower rather than a circle or a rectangle, a metre across at the widest point. The shaped edge is what makes it useful: the petals let the rug tuck into a corner or run along a bed without the hard line a square rug draws, and it fills an awkward space far more comfortably than a rectangle forced into position.

Three colourways are offered. Yellow is the warmest and the most obviously cheerful; green is the softest and easiest to live with in an adult room; black is the graphic option and reads as a silhouette on a pale floor. All three are made from a soft polyester fibre with a dense pile that feels good underfoot and recovers its shape after furniture has stood on it.

The natural homes for it are beside a bed, in a nursery or child's room, under a reading chair or in the middle of a small landing. It washes below 30 degrees in a machine, which is a real advantage in a room where things get spilled. Do not iron it, do not bleach it and do not tumble dry. Please note there is no rubberised backing, so use a separate non-slip underlay on a hard floor; an underlay does not make a wet floor safe.
