Frameless Wood-Effect Wall Clock, 30cm

A clock with no bezel at all, so what hangs on the wall is the face itself and two hands. At 30cm across it is large enough to read from the far side of a room, and the absence of a frame keeps it from casting the heavy shadow a deep-rimmed clock throws under a downlight. The surface carries a fine wood-effect grain in one of four finishes.

Champagne gold and rose gold both warm a pale wall; black gives a graphic outline against white plaster; the white version almost disappears, leaving the hands seemingly floating. All four use the same silent quartz movement, so there is no tick to notice in a bedroom or a home office. It weighs only 260g, which makes hanging it a matter of a single small fixing.

The body is a moulded polymer with a printed finish rather than solid timber, which is why it is so light and why it will not warp in a kitchen or a hallway the way real wood can. Wipe it with a dry cloth. Check the wall for concealed pipes and cables before drilling, and take a moment to level it, since a frameless face shows a tilt clearly.
