Glass Ball Pendant Light 20cm

A single blown glass sphere hung from a slim metal stem, this pendant keeps the fitting out of the way and lets the glass do the work. The globe measures twenty centimetres across and eighteen centimetres deep, so it reads as a clear accent rather than a heavy shade, and the tinted glass throws a soft wash of colour onto the ceiling and the wall behind it once the lamp is lit.

Eight glass tints are offered, from amber and pink through sky blue to dark green, and each can be ordered with a warm white or cool white lamp so the colour reads the way you want it. Hung singly over a bedside table it works as a reading light; run in a row of three or five above a kitchen island or a long dining table it becomes a rhythm rather than a single object.

The fitting takes a standard E27 screw lamp, which is not included, so you can choose the brightness and the colour temperature yourself and change them later without replacing the pendant. The glass is smooth and unlacquered, wipes clean with a dry cloth, and the metal stem and ceiling plate are finished to match. It needs a hardwired ceiling point rather than a plug socket.
