Graffiti Bull Resin Sculpture

A charging bull cast in solid resin and finished by hand, either in a loose graffiti treatment of overlapping colour or in a plain metallic gold or black. The pose is all forward weight and lowered head, which gives the piece a sense of movement that flat-coloured animal ornaments rarely manage. It is sized for a desk, a mantelpiece or the end of a run of books.

The painted versions are the louder choice and work best against a plain wall or a dark shelf, where the colour has room to be seen. The metallic finishes are quieter and read more like a traditional bronze, which suits a study or a formal sitting room better. Both are cast from the same mould, so the form and the proportions are identical whichever finish is chosen.

Resin holds fine detail well and is far less fragile than ceramic, but it is still a solid, weighty object and should be placed where it cannot be pulled from a height. Keep it out of reach of small children and pets. Dust it with a soft dry brush rather than a cloth, which can catch on the raised edges of the paintwork. Sat on a low shelf it reads as a small piece of sculpture rather than a desk toy.
