The Halvex suspends two conical ceramic shades from either end of a broad horizontal arm, balanced symmetrically around a central decorative finial. The arm is finished in aged brass, and its warm patina sits against matt white ceramic shades that spread light evenly rather than pushing it into one bright pool. The ceramic is light-transmissive, so a gentle glow gathers at the outer rim of each shade once the lamps are on.

A 12cm circular brass canopy fixes to the ceiling and feeds a drop-rod made from three linked sections totalling roughly 50cm, with the height set at installation to suit the room. The horizontal arm spans 102cm. Each socket takes a screw-fitting lamp, supplied to suit the destination: E27 (ES) on UK orders, E26 on US orders, to a maximum of 40W. Bulbs are not included.

The proportions suit a dining table, a kitchen island or an open-plan room where a long fitting reads better than a single central pendant. Hang it so the shades clear sightlines across the table. Assembly is required and all fittings arrive in the box; wiring in at the ceiling rose is work for a qualified electrician. Wipe the ceramic and the brass with a dry soft cloth, and expect the patina to remain part of the finish.
