Handwoven Seagrass Storage Box

A woven seagrass box with a fitted lid, made to hide the small clutter that accumulates on every surface in a house — chargers, hair ties, remote controls, receipts, jewellery. Each box is woven by hand from natural seagrass, so the colour varies slightly across the weave and no two are identical. The lid sits flush and lifts off cleanly rather than needing to be forced, and the structure holds its shape rather than collapsing when emptied — which is the difference between a basket that lasts and one that sags within a month.

Three tones and three sizes give a lot of flexibility. Oak is the warmest, cherry sits redder and deeper, and natural is the palest and most neutral. Small suits a bedside or a bathroom shelf, medium works on a sideboard or in a wardrobe, and large handles blankets, toys or laundry. Buying two or three of one tone in different sizes is the tidiest way to use them.
