Heritage Medallion Woven Rug

The medallion layout is one of the oldest ideas in rug design, and it survives because it works: a strong central motif, a patterned field around it and a border that frames the whole thing. This version keeps that structure but prints it on a low, tightly woven pile, so it has the visual weight of a traditional rug without the depth, cost or upkeep of a hand-knotted one.

Three colourways change the character completely. Grey is the quiet option and sits well against pale walls and oak floors. Blue brings the pattern forward and suits a hallway or a dining room where the rug is meant to be noticed. Coral red is the warmest of the three and works in a room that is otherwise mostly neutral. All three use the same dense weave with a non-slip backing that keeps the rug flat rather than rucking underfoot.

Four sizes cover very different jobs. The sixty-one by ninety-one centimetre piece is a doorway or bedside mat; the long sixty-one by two hundred and thirteen is a hallway runner; the two larger sizes work under a coffee table or a dining set. Because the pile is low the rug folds for storage and travels easily, and it can be spot-cleaned with a damp cloth and mild detergent rather than needing professional attention.
