Ice Silk Cooling Bed Linen Set

Ice silk is a fine synthetic weave engineered to move heat away from the skin rather than trapping it, and the difference is noticeable within a few minutes of getting into bed. For anyone who sleeps hot, or for the short stretch of genuinely warm nights the British summer produces, it is a more effective fix than another fan.

The set is complete rather than partial: a fitted sheet, a flat sheet and two pillowcases. The fitted sheet has deep pockets sized for mattresses up to 38cm, which covers most modern pocket-sprung and memory foam mattresses - the depth that catches out a lot of standard bedding and leaves corners pinging off in the night.

Six colours are available, from khaki and stone through to charcoal and a soft pink, across four bed sizes. The fabric is stain and wrinkle resistant and comes out of the wash smooth, so ironing is not needed. Machine wash on a cool, gentle cycle. Do not bleach and do not iron, as direct heat will damage the fibre and destroy the cooling property that is the whole point of the set. Washed and dried gently it keeps that cool handle wash after wash, which is what separates a real cooling set from a marketing claim.
