Industrial Cordless Table Lantern 22cm

A small table lantern in the shape of a workshop inspection lamp, with a cage-style upper and a broad stable base. It runs either from its internal battery or from its cable, so it can sit on a dining table in the evening and go back on a shelf to charge in the morning. A touch panel on the body switches it on and off; there is no rocker or trailing switch to spoil the line.

The body measures 12cm square and 22cm high and is moulded in ABS rather than metal, which keeps it light enough to pick up and move one-handed - the point of a cordless lamp. Three watts of LED is not task lighting, and is not meant to be: it is enough to mark out a table setting, a windowsill or a bedside, and low enough to leave running through an evening without emptying the battery.

Charge it with the supplied lead from a UK-approved USB adapter. It contains a built-in rechargeable lithium cell, so do not attempt to open the case or replace the battery yourself, and at the end of the lamp's life dispose of it at a WEEE collection point rather than in household waste. This is a lamp, not a toy - keep it away from small children and out of a bathroom.
