IP66 Outdoor Wall Light

ABS has one clear advantage over metal outdoors: it cannot rust. On a coastal wall or a north-facing passage that matters more than the material sounds, and this fitting uses a thick anti-rust ABS body finished in matt black, rated IP66 so it handles powerful jets of water as well as ordinary rain. It is a working light rather than a decorative one.

Three body forms are offered. Models A and B are horizontal, 24.5cm wide by 11cm tall, and suit a run along a fence line or over a back door. Model C is the same shell turned upright, 24.5cm tall by 11cm wide, which reads better flanking a doorway or beside a gate. All three project only 9cm from the wall. Mixing forms along one elevation rarely works, so pick one and repeat it along the run, spacing them roughly two and a half to three metres apart for even coverage.

Each form comes in warm white for entrances and patios, or cool white where the light is doing a security or wayfinding job. The fixings are supplied. This is a mains fitting, so it needs an outdoor-rated circuit installed by an electrician. Mounted at head height or above, the downward wash lights a path without shining directly into anyone's eyes.
