Irregular Wave Wall Mirror 40cm

A mirror with the corners taken off entirely. The outline ripples in and out around a 40 by 25cm glass, in a composite frame finished in soft white or a chalky pink, so the piece works as a shape on the wall as much as something to check a fringe in. It is the sort of object that does a lot for a plain rented wall.

Two outlines are offered. Curvy is the rounder of the two, with wide gentle lobes. Wavy is tighter and more rhythmic, closer to a scallop. Both come in either colour. They can be hung on a wall, propped on a shelf against the skirting, or stood on a dressing table or console where the shape catches the light from the side.

At this size it suits a hallway, a bedroom, a cloakroom, a desk or a child's room rather than a full-length dressing mirror. Two or three hung together as a small cluster work better than one lost in the middle of a big wall. Use a fixing rated for the weight and check for pipes and cables before drilling. Clean with a soft cloth; do not spray cleaner directly onto the frame edge. Mirror glass is heavier than it looks, so check the fixing is sound before letting go of it.
