Jerno Alabaster Brass Wall Light

The Jerno takes a slim column of natural alabaster and sets it on a solid brass arm and round backplate, so the whole fitting reads as one clean vertical line against the wall. The brass is left with a soft, lightly aged sheen rather than a mirror polish, which keeps the Art Deco silhouette warm instead of brash, and the stone stays pale and quiet during the day.

The stone is cut into a 30cm cylinder just 6cm across, and because every block of alabaster carries its own cloudy veining, no two lights are patterned quite the same way. Alabaster is translucent, so the shade does not simply hide the bulb, it lights up.
