Jewel Mosaic Sofa Cover

Large sofas are badly served by plain covers, because at three metres a single flat colour just looks like a dust sheet. A dense small-scale pattern solves that: this mosaic runs an interlocking jewel-tile motif across the whole surface, so the eye reads texture and colour rather than acreage, and the inevitable creases and folds of daily use disappear into the design instead of showing.

Two colourways take it in different directions. Emerald Nomad is built around deep greens with amber and rust running through it, warm and quite traditional; Mystic Mosaic mixes cooler blues and violets for something more contemporary. The fabric has enough body to sit flat over cushions rather than tenting between them, and it tucks into the seat crease to hold position. Wash cool on a gentle cycle and air dry; the deep dyes should be washed separately for the first two or three cycles. Do not bleach or use stain removers containing bleach, which will lift the colour permanently. Measure the full run including any chaise or corner section before choosing a size, since these covers are bought too small far more often than too large.
