Kalve Gold Clock Wall Light

The Kalve does two jobs from one fixing point. A 22cm brushed gold disc carries the clock face and slim tapered hands, and below it a black elongated loop holds a pendulum and a concealed LED strip that washes the wall behind with warm light. Overall it stands 55cm tall, so it reads as one tall vertical piece rather than a clock with a lamp added to it.

The two functions run independently. The clock movement is battery powered and needs no wiring at all, while the 28W LED lighting section is hardwired and switched like any other wall light. That means the time stays visible whether the light is on or off, which is the practical reason this shape works rather than being a novelty. The LED is concealed inside the loop, so the wall glows without a visible source.

It is sized for a bedroom, living room or dining room wall of roughly 5 to 8 square metres, and it earns its place beside a bed or in a hallway where a glance at the time matters. Assembly is required and the lighting section is hardwired, so a qualified electrician should carry out the installation. The clock battery is changed separately, without touching the wiring.
