Koda Up and Down Wall Light

A compact rectangular block that throws light both upward and downward, producing the two opposing cones of light that have become the standard way to make a plain wall look considered. At 16 x 8 x 6cm it is small enough to run several along a hallway or a staircase without the wall looking busy.

The effect depends entirely on the surface behind it. On smooth plaster you get two clean triangles of light; on brick, stone or textured render the grazing light picks out every ridge and shadow, which is why this shape is used so often on feature walls and chimney breasts. Warm white keeps the whole effect soft rather than clinical.

Grey, black and gold cover most schemes: grey is the most neutral and disappears against pale walls, black is graphic and modern, gold warms the light and reads more decorative against brick and timber. It runs on a wide voltage range at 6W, so it is efficient enough to leave on through an evening, and it hardwires to a standard wall box with the mounting plate supplied.
