Lamp Table with Wireless Charging

This is a bedside table and a lamp in one object, with a wireless charging pad built into the top. That combination removes three things from a small bedroom at once: the table, the lamp beside it and the charging cable trailing off the edge. At 34cm across and 60cm tall it stands at a comfortable mattress height beside most bed frames.

The lamp is dimmable by touch and steps through warm, neutral and cool white, so it works as a low light for getting into bed and a brighter one for reading. It takes an E27 bulb and one LED is supplied. The charging pad sits flush in the wooden top, so a phone laid down overnight charges without anything being plugged into it. Because the light and the charger share one plug, there is only a single cable running to the wall instead of two or three.

The frame is iron with a wooden top, which gives it enough weight to stay steady when you reach across it in the dark. It lights roughly five to ten square metres. One caution worth knowing: wireless charging can interfere with cards carrying magnetic strips, so do not leave a wallet on the pad. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms only.
