LED Pillar Candles, Set of Five

Five flameless pillar candles cast in real wax, graduated from 10cm to 20cm so that a group has a natural stepped silhouette rather than a flat one. Because the wax is genuine, the light glows through the body of each candle the way a real one does, and the tops are cast with a soft irregular lip instead of a moulded flat disc. Each candle is 5cm across.

A handheld remote runs the whole set, which matters more than it sounds: five candles in a fireplace or along a windowsill would otherwise mean five trips to switch them on and five to switch them off. A six-hour timer means they can come on and go off at the same time each evening on their own. Batteries are included - two CR2032 cells per candle - and sit in the base.

These are LED candles with no flame, so they can be used in a fireplace, on a bookshelf, inside a lantern or anywhere a real candle would be unwise, and they can be left with the timer running unattended. Keep them indoors and away from radiators, since real wax will soften and slump in sustained heat. Keep spare and used button cells well out of reach of children and pets and dispose of them at a battery recycling point.
