The Leyo is a compact anthracite bollard that marks out paths, driveways and front steps with a calm pool of warm white light. At 35 cm tall with a slim rectangular profile it sits low and discreet by day, then throws its glow downwards through an angled recess at night, lighting the ground clearly without any glare at eye level.

The housing is die-cast aluminium in a matt anthracite finish and sealed to IP54, so rain and garden spray are no trouble. Inside, a built-in 6 W LED produces a warm 3000 K light at 180 lumens, wired straight to the mains with nothing to charge and no bulbs to change. The footprint is 12 cm wide and 4 cm deep, so it takes up very little room in a planted border.

Place one beside the doorstep for a welcoming marker, or run a line of them along a walkway for an even rhythm of light. Set them back slightly from the edge of a path so they stay clear of mowers and wheelbarrows, and plan the mains cable route before you dig. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician working to outdoor wiring rules. Rinse the housing occasionally to keep soil and leaf litter out of the recess.
