Linear Aluminium Wall Light 40cm

A plain aluminium bar, 40 centimetres long and only six deep, that throws light up the wall and down it in two soft columns. There is no visible bulb and no shade to dust - just an extruded housing with the LED set behind a diffuser at each end. It is the kind of fitting that reads as architecture rather than decoration, which is why it works as well on a stair wall as it does beside a bed.

Mounted in a run of two or three along a hallway it gives a rhythm of light without the glare of downlights, and the graze it puts on the plaster flatters a textured or painted finish. Single, it makes a good bedside reading light at shoulder height, or a quiet marker either side of a doorway. Choose black where the wall is pale and you want the fitting to register, white where you would rather it disappeared.

Warm white is the safer choice for living areas and bedrooms; cool white suits a utility space or a home office where you want the light to feel crisper. The aluminium housing runs cool to the touch and the finish is powder coated. This is a hardwired mains fitting rated for 110-220V and should be installed by a qualified electrician with the circuit isolated. Dry locations only, not bathroom zones 0, 1 or 2.
