Luxora Solid Wood Wall Clock, 25cm

A plain round clock in solid wood, 25cm across, with the markings kept to slim indices and two clean hands. There is no printed dial and no numeral crowding the face, which is what lets it hang in a room without competing with anything else on the wall. Two finishes are offered: a mid brown that shows the grain clearly and a pale cream that reads almost as a painted surface.

The quartz movement is a silent sweep rather than a ticking step, so the second hand glides instead of clicking. In a bedroom or a study, where a ticking clock becomes the loudest thing in the room after dark, that difference matters more than the specification suggests. It runs from a single AA battery, which is not supplied, and keeps time without adjustment for months at a stretch.

Solid wood moves slightly with humidity, so it is better hung on an internal wall than above a radiator or in a bathroom. Mounting hardware and instructions are included, and the clock is light enough for a single fixing in plaster. Check the wall for concealed pipes and cables before drilling, as you would for anything hung at head height. Hung above a doorway or a mantel, it does the job a clock is meant to do and then stops asking for attention.
