The Marlo Tapered Travertine Wall Light sets a tapered cone of natural travertine on a short black arm and a round walnut backplate. The stone keeps its open pores and fine banding, so no two shades carry quite the same markings. The cone measures 13 cm across and the fitting stands 17 cm tall, which keeps it compact enough for a narrow hallway or the space beside a bed.

Travertine softens light instead of bouncing it, so the sconce lays a warm wash down the wall and lets a gentle glow through the mouth of the cone. Walnut and matte black pick up the beige of the stone without competing with it, which lets the fitting sit quietly against plaster, painted brick or a papered finish. As part of the Lockhone indoor lighting collection, Marlo suits a bedside, a hallway, or a pair either side of a mirror.

One screw-fitting bulb sits inside the cone and the bulb is not included. The fitting is rated at 5 watts and works with a dimmer switch, which is supplied separately. At 4 kg the sconce needs a solid wall fixing rather than a plasterboard plug alone. Delivery takes 8-15 working days.
