Metal Wall Light with Switch 23cm

A simple metal wall light with its own switch built into the body, which is the detail that makes it worth having beside a bed. No pull cord, no trailing flex to a wall socket and no reaching for a switch by the door: the light is turned on where it is. The shade is a soft-cornered box with an open lower face, so the light falls onto a book rather than into the room.

The body is 23cm long, 13cm deep and 20cm high, which is generous enough to read by and shallow enough not to intrude in a narrow bedroom. Three colours are offered - white, green and grey - all painted in flat matte finishes. Green is the interesting one, and works particularly well against a panelled or papered wall where a white fitting would simply disappear.

Supplied without a lamp, for a 90-260V mains supply. It is a hardwired fitting and must be installed by a qualified electrician with the circuit isolated at the consumer unit before any work begins. Rated for dry indoor locations only; do not install in bathroom zones 0, 1 or 2. Painted metal marks easily, so dust it with a dry soft cloth with the power off and keep abrasive cleaners well away.
