Micro Square Wall Light 11cm

An 11 centimetre square of aluminium alloy with its own switch on the body, which is a small detail that changes how a wall light gets used. Because it switches locally you can put it somewhere there is no convenient wall switch - inside an alcove, at the head of a bed, on the return of a partition wall - and still turn it on without walking to a plate at the door.

The square profile and the flat face keep it discreet, and at 11 centimetres deep it is a genuine minimum-intrusion fitting for a narrow corridor or a small landing. Black is the plainer of the two finishes and vanishes into a dark wall. Copper is warmer and catches the light on its edges, which is worth having where the fitting is at eye level and is going to be looked at as well as looked by.

The LED is built in and rated for around 50,000 hours, so there is no bulb to buy and nothing to replace within the normal life of the fitting - the trade-off is that the LED is not user-serviceable. Warm white at 3000K is the domestic default; cool white at 6000K is brighter and better suited to a utility area. The fitting carries ETL, UL, CE, CCC and SAA marks. Hardwired indoor fitting: install via a qualified electrician with the circuit isolated.
