The Milto Coloured Glass Effect Pendant Light takes the shape of a shade caught mid-melt, with an uneven rim and a rippled, poured surface that never repeats the same way twice. The shade measures 20 cm across and hangs from a slim brass toned stem, so it reads as a single sculptural form rather than a conventional dome or drum. At that size it works alone above a bedside table or the end of a kitchen island, and in a row of two or three above a dining table.

The shade is moulded in translucent acrylic finished with a mirrored gold coating, which makes it behave in two different ways. Switched off it acts almost as a mirror and picks up the colours of the room around it. Switched on, the bulb glows through the tinted surface and the ripples inside the moulding light up as streaks of amber, so the fitting reads as a piece of decoration whether or not it is in use.

Lockhone supplies the Milto as an indoor hardwired pendant rated IP20, running on 110V to 240V and suited to rooms of around 5 to 10 square metres such as a bedroom, dining room or living room. It takes one screw fitting bulb up to 10W and the bulb is not included, supplied to suit the destination: E27 (ES) on UK orders, E26 on US orders. Assembly is required and fitting by a qualified electrician is recommended. Delivery takes 8-15 working days.
