Monaco Abstract Chenille Sofa Cover

Chenille is the fabric to choose for a sofa cover that is meant to look deliberate rather than defensive. The pile is dense and slightly irregular, which catches the light along the weave and gives the cover the depth of a proper textile instead of the flat look of a fitted stretch cover. The abstract pattern here is woven in, not printed on.

Two colourways are offered. Noir Abstract is the graphic one, dark ground with pale marks that suits a modern room with black-framed pictures or metal furniture. Amber Dusk is warmer, built from soft golds and browns, and works better on a sofa in a room with wood, wool and warmer paint colours. Both read as a designed throw rather than a protective layer.

Three sizes are available, all 180cm wide, running 130cm, 180cm and 230cm long to suit an armchair, a two-seater and a three-seater respectively. The backing is non-slip, so it stays where it is put rather than needing tucking in every morning, and it is pet-friendly and machine washable — the two things a sofa cover has to be. Wash separately in cool water on a delicate cycle, avoid bleach, and line dry or tumble dry on low to protect the pile.
