Hand tufted geometric patterns stand proud of a flat cotton linen ground on this square cushion, so the design is something you feel as much as see. Small tassels at the corners finish the edges and keep the outline soft rather than crisp. Seven patterns are offered, running from simple rhomboids and triangles to a loose wave and a broad stripe, each worked in a single colour against an undyed base.
The cover is cotton linen with a polypropylene cotton filling, a combination that keeps the cushion light and gives the tufting a firm surface to sit against. At forty five by forty five centimetres it is the standard square size, which makes it easy to mix with covers you already own or to buy in pairs for either end of a sofa. Every pattern is offered at the same price.
The raised tufting collects dust more readily than a flat weave, so shake the cushion out regularly and vacuum it on a low setting with an upholstery head. Keep it clear of open fires, candles and radiators, and do not tumble dry, as heat will shrink the linen content and pull the tufted rows out of line. Spot clean marks promptly with a barely damp cloth.
