Nelo Matte Black Flush Ceiling Light

The Nelo is a flush drum fitting with a wide metal shade and a brushed brass canopy above it. The matte black body sits close to the ceiling on a slim profile, which is what makes it work in rooms with standard heights where a pendant would hang into the way. The brass canopy is the only bright note, and it keeps an otherwise plain drum from reading as purely utilitarian.

A milky acrylic diffuser panel closes the underside and spreads the output evenly across the room, without glare or visible hot spots. Three diameters are offered, 30 cm, 40 cm and 50 cm, so the fitting can be scaled to the room it hangs in. Two light options are available: Warm Light for a settled evening atmosphere, and Three Colour Change where an adjustable colour temperature is wanted.

At the smaller diameters Nelo suits a compact home office, a hallway or a bedroom; at 50 cm it holds its own in open-plan living and dining areas. The IP20 rating means it belongs in dry indoor rooms rather than bathrooms. The fitting is hardwired to a fixed ceiling rose and requires professional installation, so allow for an electrician when planning. The acrylic diffuser can be wiped clean with a dry soft cloth.
