Sentry Ribbed Glass Outdoor Pillar Light

The Sentry is a mains-wired garden lantern made to sit on the flat top of a gate post, a column or a garden pier. A square metal housing frames four panels of ribbed transparent glass, and the ribbing spreads the warm light source evenly in all directions rather than throwing one hard beam. The textured matt black finish sits as comfortably against brick as it does against rendered or stone columns.

At 25 cm wide and 16.5 cm tall the Sentry is proportioned for standard UK gate and boundary posts, and three size options are offered if a larger or smaller cap suits the pier better. The housing is rated IP65, fully sealed against rain and dust, so it can stay out all year without additional protection. The voltage range of 110-240V covers both UK and US mains supplies.

Used in pairs either side of a driveway entrance, along a boundary wall or at the top of garden steps, pillar caps mark a route without the glare of a floodlight. The base plate fixes flat to the post surface with a concealed cable entry below, so the wiring stays hidden. A screw-fit bulb is required and is not included: E27 for UK orders, E26 for US. As a mains-wired outdoor fitting it should be installed by a qualified electrician.
