The Nexo is a compact black metal cube that throws light both up and down the wall, with adjustable beam angles so the spread can be set exactly as wanted. Widen the wash for a soft glow across brickwork, or narrow it to a crisp column of light either side of a door or a garage. At roughly ten centimetres square it sits neatly against the wall without jutting out.

The body is metal in a black finish, and the warm white LED is built in, so there are no separate bulbs to shop for. It is rated IP65, sealed against rain and weather, and the hardwired connection keeps the look clean with no visible cables. The adjustment is made at the fitting itself, so the beam can be reset later if the planting or the paving around it changes.

It is just as happy beside a front door or along a garden wall as it is indoors in a hallway or living room, and a pair either side of an entrance gives a balanced, welcoming look after dark. Installation by a qualified electrician is recommended. Keep the seals intact when adjusting the beam, and wipe grit off the housing from time to time.
