At 127cm this sits lower than most floor lamps, which is exactly what you want next to an armchair: the shade lands near shoulder height, so the light falls onto a book instead of into your eyes. The stem is walnut with a brass collar, the shade is fabric, and the proportions are closer to mid-century Scandinavian than to anything contemporary. It takes up a footprint of about 26cm.

A knob switch on the body dims the output, so the same lamp works as task light for reading and as a low background glow later in the evening. Two finishes are offered, a paler original walnut and a darker walnut, and three light options: warm, a cleaner white, and a three-colour version that cycles through both plus a neutral tone at the switch. Pick the warm version if it is going in a bedroom.

The 12W LED runs on an E27 base, so the bulb is replaceable rather than sealed in. Fabric shades gather dust, so give it a brush every few weeks and keep it out of direct sun to stop the fabric yellowing.
