Nordo is knitted from coral fleece and worked into wide raised channels that run the length of the blanket. From across a room those channels read as a tonal stripe. Close up they are texture rather than print: one colour throughout, with the shadow in each groove doing the work a printed line would do. The grey is cool and deep, with a faint slate-blue cast that sits easily next to oak, oatmeal linen and pale plaster.

The fleece is 100% polyester, a dense, fine-fibre pile finished to an anti-pilling standard and rated grade 3 to 4 for colour fastness, so the surface stays smooth and the tone holds through repeated washing. At 100 x 150 cm this is a single throw rather than a bedspread: enough to cover you on a sofa, to fold across the foot of a bed, or to roll up and take with you.

It is also light for its size, which makes it easy to move from room to room, or to keep in a car or a bag. It suits a sofa, an armchair, a bed end or a reading corner. It goes in a domestic machine, so there is no specialist care to remember: wash it warm rather than hot, skip the fabric softener, which flattens fleece, and dry it flat or on a low tumble.
