NovaClock Slim LED Alarm Clock

Bedside clocks are usually either ugly or unreadable. The NovaClock is a slim bar 16cm wide and only 1.8cm thick, with a single-sided LED display that shows the time, the date and the room temperature. Because the numerals sit behind a dark face, the display looks like a blank panel when it is off rather than a piece of visible plastic electronics. The slim profile also means it can stand on a narrow shelf or a windowsill where a boxier clock would overhang the edge.

Three finishes are offered. The mirror version reflects the room when unlit and is the one that disappears most completely on a dressing table. White and black are plainer and easier to read at a glance from across a room. All three carry the same functions, including a snooze that does what you expect rather than requiring a sequence of button presses.

It runs from a USB cable or from AAA batteries, neither of which is supplied, so it can sit on a shelf with no socket nearby or stay plugged in permanently on a bedside table. It is a clock and a thermometer only: no medical, sleep or wellbeing function is claimed. Wipe the face with a dry microfibre cloth to keep the display clear.
