Odour Seal Floor Drain Insert

A bathroom can look immaculate and still be let down by a stale smell rising from the floor drain. This compact insert tackles the problem at the source, sitting inside the existing drain and using a sprung silicone seal that opens as water flows through, then closes again once it has passed. The result is a quieter, fresher shower room or wet room, with far fewer unwelcome odours drifting up from the pipework below.

The core combines copper, polycarbonate and flexible silicone, materials chosen because they resist corrosion and keep their shape in constantly damp conditions. It suits drain openings with an inner diameter between 33mm and 45mm, and a multi-layer design helps trap hair and debris before they reach the pipe. Water still drains freely by gravity, while the closing seal helps reduce backflow and keeps small insects from climbing up into the room.

Fitting takes a minute: lift the existing grate, drop the insert into the pipe and replace the cover. Measure your drain before ordering to check the size.
