Orbia Cognac Glass Pendant Light

The Orbia suspends a glass globe inside a slim metal ring, so the shade appears to float at the centre of a simple golden halo. The glass carries a warm cognac finish that casts a gentle amber glow into the room, and the ring gives the fitting an outline it would not have on its own. It hangs as well alone as it does in a staggered cluster of two or three.

The fixture is metal and the shade is glass, in a hand-blown style with the cognac tint running through it. An LED bulb is included on an E27 socket, and a built-in switch control moves between three colour temperatures, from bright and practical to soft and relaxed. The light is dimmable, and the whole fitting is hardwired and rated for indoor use.

It works over a dining table, a kitchen island or a bedside, adding a sculptural note without crowding the space, and it suits rooms of roughly 10 to 15 square metres. Two or three hung at staggered heights over an island read as one piece rather than a row. A qualified electrician should wire it in. Clean the glass with a dry cloth once the bulb has cooled.
