Orbit Solar Pathway Light Trio

The Orbit trio turns a plain garden path into something you actually notice after dark. Three frosted spheres sit low on their stakes, throwing a soft pool of light across gravel, paving or planting rather than glaring straight up at you. The finish is a clean matt white that disappears against pale borders by day and glows gently once the light drops, so the set works as quietly in a small courtyard as it does along a long driveway.

Each globe carries its own solar panel and light sensor in the cap. They charge through the day, switch themselves on at dusk and run for around eight hours on a good summer charge, which is more than enough to see you from gate to door. There is no cable to bury, no transformer to find room for and no timer to reset twice a year when the clocks change.

The housings are sealed against splashing and driving rain, so they can stay out through a British winter without being brought in. Push the stake into soft ground, angle the head, and the set is finished. Keep the panels clear of leaves and give them an occasional wipe and they will hold their runtime year after year.
