Concentric circles drift across this velvet rug like ripples settling on still water, and the effect is quieter than a bold geometric usually manages. The palette stays in the warm neutral range, so the pattern reads as texture from across the room and only resolves into distinct rings when you are standing on it. The pile is dense, rated at eight hundred and fifty grams per square metre, which gives the surface a plush weight underfoot rather than the thin, papery feel of a printed mat. A rubberised backing grips the floor and keeps the edges from curling, and the whole rug is machine washable when a spill or a muddy paw print makes that necessary.
