A linear outdoor wall light with an aluminium body 40 centimetres long, throwing light up and down the wall from a 16 watt integrated LED. Mounted either side of a door or spaced along a terrace wall, it washes the surface rather than glaring outward, which is the useful difference between a wall light that lets you see a step and one that dazzles anybody walking towards it.
The housing is rated IP65, so it withstands rain and hose-force splashing in an exposed position, and the aluminium is finished in either white or black. It runs on mains voltage across an 85 to 265 volt range and the LED module is integrated, which keeps the sealed body shallow but means the light source is not a lamp the user replaces; when it eventually fails the whole fitting is changed.
Choose warm white for a softer, more domestic light near a seating area, or cool white where the priority is seeing the ground clearly. This is a hard-wired fitting with no plug: it must be installed by a qualified electrician with the circuit isolated at the consumer unit, on a wall that can take the fixings, and it is intended for permanent outdoor mounting rather than portable use.
