The pile is comfortable for bare feet and surprisingly hard-wearing for everyday use.
Vacuum the rug regularly on a low setting to keep the pile fresh, and spot clean spills straight away with cold water and a little mild detergent, blotting rather than rubbing. Even with its non-slip backing, it is best kept away from the top of stairs and doorways where it could be kicked up. In children's rooms, check occasionally that the rug lies flat so little ones do not trip.
