A painted aluminium dome with a turned wood detail at the top, offered in seven colours that run from a strong marigold through pink, green and blue to plain white, grey and black. The paint is matt and the wood is left natural, so even the brighter colourways read as considered rather than loud. Two sizes are available, 30 centimetres across and 35 centimetres across.
A dome shade throws light down in a defined circle, which is why this shape keeps turning up over kitchen islands, breakfast bars and dining tables. Hung in a run of two or three at the smaller size, or singly at the larger, it gives a table a clear pool of light without spilling much into the rest of the room. The colour reads best against a plain ceiling.
The fitting takes one E27 lamp up to 60 watts, not supplied, and the cord adjusts to 122 centimetres from a 12 centimetre ceiling canopy. It is hardwired and not dimmable, and must be installed by a qualified electrician with the circuit isolated first. Assembly is required. It is rated for dry indoor locations only and must not be fitted in bathroom zones 0, 1 or 2.
