Peona Pink Petal Flush Ceiling Light

The Peona gathers five opal glass globes around a soft pink resin flower, carried on slim gold arms that reach out from a single round ceiling plate. It sits flush against the ceiling, so the whole fitting reads as a bloom opening downwards rather than as a lamp hanging in the room. The pink is muted rather than bright, and the gold arms keep it from reading as only a children's piece.

Opal glass turns each bulb into a rounded, even glow with no glare at the edge, and five separate heads spread that light across a wide area instead of pooling it under one point. The fitting works with a dimmer switch, so the same light can run bright for play and homework and drop low at bedtime. It measures 55 cm across and 15 cm deep, and it is damp rated.

That shallow depth keeps it well clear of head height in a bedroom, a nursery or on a landing with a standard ceiling, and the damp rating also allows a bathroom or a covered porch. In a nursery or a child's room, fit it out of reach and do not leave young children unsupervised with furniture pushed beneath it. The fitting is hardwired and should be installed by a qualified electrician.
