Petal Acrylic Ceiling Light 20cm

Layered acrylic petals curl outward from a slim iron plate, catching the light at their edges and throwing a soft, broken pattern onto the ceiling around them. At twenty centimetres across and a little over twenty tall, it is a small fitting, which is exactly what makes it useful: it can go in a corridor, a landing, a child's room or above a bedside without dominating the ceiling the way a full pendant would.

Three finishes are offered and they behave quite differently. The crystal clear version is close to invisible when it is off and glitters when lit. The green reads as a deliberate piece of colour in a plain white hallway. The rose sits somewhere between the two, warm rather than pink. All three are built on the same iron ceiling plate, which measures ten centimetres and covers a standard ceiling rose without any fuss.

The fitting takes one E27 lamp rated up to twelve watts and runs on ordinary 220 to 240 volt mains. Warm, neutral and cool white all suit it, so the tone is a matter of which lamp you choose rather than something fixed at the factory. It is a hardwired fitting, rated for dry indoor locations only, and the acrylic should be wiped with a soft dry cloth rather than a solvent cleaner.
