Petaline Layered Petal Pendant Light

The Petaline is built from overlapping acrylic petals that step outward as they rise, so the shade catches light on its upper surfaces and lets a soft, even wash fall from the open underside. It is a decorative fitting first and a practical one second, though the LED behind the petals is bright enough to light a dining table or a kitchen island on its own.

Three widths are offered. The 40cm suits a small table or a hallway; the 50cm is the usual choice over a four-seater; the 60cm is a statement piece for a long island or a double-height stairwell. Height stays modest at 25cm for the two smaller sizes and 28cm for the largest, so it does not crowd a low ceiling the way a deep drum shade can. If you are hanging it above a table, allow roughly 75 to 85cm between the tabletop and the bottom of the shade so it lights the surface without blocking the view across it.

The cord is adjustable up to about 150cm, which gives room to hang it low over a table or high in a stairwell. The light source is an integrated LED with an E27 base and a bulb is supplied, controlled by a wall switch rather than a dimmer. Acrylic marks easily, so dust it with a dry microfibre cloth and never use alcohol or solvent cleaners.
