The column shape keeps its footprint small, so it sits comfortably on a narrow nightstand, a hallway console or a stack of books, while the pleating catches the light and softens it before it reaches the room.
It measures 16 cm across and 31 cm tall and weighs 1.9 kg, so it stays put without being heavy to move. Power comes from a USB lead at 5 volts rather than the mains, which means no plug and no wiring: it will run from a wall adapter, a laptop or a bedside socket with a USB port. Choose the fixed warm white at 3000 K, or the fully dimmable version if you would rather set the level yourself.
The shade is fabric and the base is wood, so keep both dry and dust them with a soft, dry cloth rather than a damp one. Set the lamp on a level surface where the USB lead cannot be tugged, and route the cable behind furniture so it is not a trip hazard or within reach of a child or a pet. The LED is built in and is not designed to be replaced. Never immerse any part of the lamp in water.
